Taraji Band was founded by David Mutua and Samuel Andayi in May, 2014.
Before the official launch of our ministry, the band members were the worship team in Compassion’s LDP program. Compassion International Kenya would host LDP conferences in which the band would lead worship. Towards May 2014, the band got more opportunities for leading worship. At this point, the band started holding meetings and worship sessions that were beyond LDP platforms. Comprising thirteen members, the band has served different churches and organizations in worship. We aspire to influence the world for Christ through our music.

Our Vision

Touching Lives Worldwide through Godly Music.

Mission

Exploring music in line with worship, mentorship, and inspiration.

Our Core Values

Godliness: We prioritize being imitators of our God in what we do. As we serve, we yearn to be more like him.
Integrity: We demonstrate the commitment to what we pledge to do. In all our engagements, we believe in honoring the people of God by simply keeping our word.
Teamwork: We appreciate the different giftings that each team member has. Beyond our team, we appreciate the unique roles of our hosts and partners.
Humility: We treasure moments spent with people beyond our roles on stage. We pursue the relationships and ministry opportunities we have off-stage.
Dignity: We are intentional in honoring the people of God in all that we do. We choose to serve them with the utmost regard.

John 4:23 English Standard Version (ESV)

But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.
